What if I put too much or too little blood on my test?

It depends on whether your test produced a successful result.

If your completed test produced a successful result, that result is valid.

Your Healthy Heart Check needs the correct amount of blood placed into the blood deposit area in the middle of the test chip to produce a successful result at all, so if you have one, there was enough blood in the right place.

If the app can't interpret your test, it will state that the test was unsuccessful and the app should automatically offer you a free replacement. Find out how that works here.

If the test is unsuccessful it's usually because:

  • too much or too little blood was applied
  • you were dehydrated when you took the sample, making it harder to collect enough blood
  • the test instructions weren't followed
