Why is Apple is auto-filling my password

Modified on Wed, 3 Jun at 5:21 PM

If Apple is auto-filling your password and preventing you from getting past the home screen, you can follow the steps below to either delete the saved password or turn off the autofill feature entirely.

Option 1 — Delete the saved PocDoc password

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Scroll down and tap Passwords.
  3. Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode when prompted.
  4. Find and tap PocDoc from the list of saved passwords.
  5. Tap Edit in the top-right corner.
  6. Tap Delete Password or Delete Passkey.
  7. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Option 2 — Turn off autofill entirely

If you'd prefer to disable autofill for all apps and websites:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Passwords.
  3. Tap Password Options.
  4. Toggle off Autofill Passwords and Passkeys.

⚠️ Please note: Turning off autofill will affect all apps and websites on your device, not just PocDoc.
