How to request data deletion

You can request your personal data be deleted by PocDoc, by contacting PocDoc Support. To achieve this, please follow these steps:

  1. Send an email requesting data deletion to PocDoc support@mypocdoc.com. You must send the email from the email address used to create your PocDoc account.
  2. PocDoc Support will reply, acknowledging receipt of your request.
  3. PocDoc Support will reply, after we have completed your request.

What data is deleted/ retained

Our aim is to remove your personally identifiable data, whilst maintaining clinical results for contractual, regulatory or legal reasons.

To achieve this, we will delete the following from our main database:

  • Email address
  • First name and surname
  • Date of birth
  • NHS number

Additionally, the following will be modified in our main database:

  • Postcode (only the postcode district will remain)

The following categories of data will not be removed:

  • Test health data submitted with your PocDoc Test
  • Test image data submitted with your PocDoc Test
  • Test performance data created with the PocDoc Test
  • Order and fulfilment data associated with any PocDoc Test kit order
  • PocDoc Support communications (for example, your request to have your account deleted)

We will maintain a record of this deletion activity. This will include the Test ID and your NHS number, or first name and surname. This is maintained in a separate database and solely retained for the defence of legal claims and will be deleted after seven years.

Please be aware, that your test result data, including personal information, may have been shared with your healthcare provider, and you will need to approach them directly for any deletion request.
